After the recent presentation on use of networks of pulsars for gravitational wave analysis the thought occurred to use pulsars as energy emitting scanners (spotlights) instead of the common analogy of pulsars are lighthouses. Use the pulsar as a high energy radio scanner beam source for detection and radio spectroscopic analysis of exoplanets by receiving the exoplanet reflected radio signal using Earth based radio telescopes or arrays. Would like to hear comments from any efforts out there already using this technique.
