Amateur radio or (Ham) radio is a hobby that is about 110 years old in Australia. The hobby involves all manor of communications. Starting with HF (high frequency) right through to UHF (ultra high frequency) and above.
It encompasses everything from 2way radio communications to satellite and TV broadcasting. A technical hobby that amazingly is not too hard to get into.
