Ham Radio Live Show 338 Completes my Back to back segment on receive antennas for your ham radio. This time we talk about one of the most simple antennas you could build yourself, the Ground Loop, Antenna
Like the beverage Antenna discussed in show 337, it also works signal to noise ratio instead of gain. It also Doesn’t require the amount of land that most beverage antennas require. This could be the receipt and 10 out for your ham or shortwave radio that really helps you bring stations in on frequencies of 14.350 MHz and down. There’s a tremendous difference when using a great RX Antenna on your radio!
You can now catch my CQ Calling show weekly on Shortwave Station WRMI. The show is 14:30 in length and covers radio news, HF forecast and a mailbag segment. Find it around the world at these times and frequencies:
Hawaii/South Pacific/Australia/New Zealand: Thursday’s 0815 UTC on 7730 kHz
Europe/North Africa/Middle East: Thursday’s 2015 UTC on 15770 kHz
North America: Thursday’s 7:30 pm Eastern Time on 9395
Caribbean/Central America/South America:
Thursday’s 8:15 pm Eastern Time on 9955 kHz
Thanks for watching Ham Radio Live where we celebrate the joy of radio.
