These rotors are built to last. Check out the reviews online at eham. Some have been up and in service for 25 years, with minor servicing. The programmable controller is great to interface with software such as hamradiodeluxe, or others that enable you to control the rotor when you are away from home, and using something like the rigexpert remote hf kit.
