Icom IC-7700 Setup for FT8, FT4 using WSJT-X, USB Audio Adapter Sound Card with SPDIF Digital Audio

Icom IC-7700 Setup Data Modes for FT8, FT4 etc using WSJT-X and external USB Audio Adapter Sound Card with SPDIF Digital Audio.

This is my setup, please see below for cables and interface required.
Windows 10 64 bit

The Icom CI-V interface is not a standard RS-232 type interface. The signals are TTL-level.
Allows you to change frequencies, operating modes, and memory channels using your computer and appropriate third party control software.

WSJT-X implements communication protocols or “modes” called FST4, FST4W, FT4, FT8, JT4, JT9, JT65, Q65, MSK144, and WSPR

1. Install the two Toslink Cable into the rear of the IC7700.

2. install the CI-V cable.

3. Install the startech USB Audio Adapter as per supplied instructions.
set outputs to SP/DIF, Insattall cables from IC7700

4. IC7700 Menu SET – ACC and find “DATA2 MOD”. Change the option to SPDIF.

5. configure WSJT-X as per my settings.
