Do you want a Wireless Headset / Microphone for your ham radio?
Let’s take a First Look at the Retevis HK009 Bluetooth Headset / Microphone for Retevis, Kenwood and other similar Ham and GMRS Radios
UPDATE: A few are wondering if this radio works with the Xiegu X6100, The Icom IC705, The Icom ID52A, The Yaesu FT3D, etc etc. I cannot test all the radios, but so far my findings are:
Xiegu X6100: Connects to Bluetooth, doesn’t do anything (No Recieve / No Transmit). This is probably due to the X6100 not actually having full Bluetooth Support
IC-705. Works fine in VOX mode. Can Receive no problem, and transmit through the wireless microphone, provided VOX is enabled (no PTT support). If VOX is disabled, there is still no PTT support and the audio microphone does not function
Yaesu FT3D – To be tested later
Icom ID-52A. I do not have an ID-52a or 51 to test with. But really, if you have an ID-52A and you are local (or going to be at hamcation), let me know.
