This is a brief overview/review of the Baofeng G11S.

What I call a problem, some people enjoy. I don’t disagree with any of you all, as you have reasons for wanting the feature enabled. However, I think new users need to watch this video or read the manual to know how to fix it, in case their lives depend on it.

NOTES:
I realize the problem with the UV5X was that you couldn’t change the CTCSS tone from the front panel, originally. The G11S Does allow this, but it seems illogical to setup a radio with CTCSS tones by default, requiring one to go into each channels menu to disable it or change it. To Baofeng’s defense, many GMRS operators enjoy privacy tones, and I understand that.
