Part 2 will be on how to program this radio to be a 70cm Band 2 watt handheld ham radio.
This set of FRS radios can be had on Amazon for about $33 and performed very well in my testing.
The true potential of these radios can be unlocked with the same Bluetooth Programmer I reviewed in a recent video.
I was able to program this radio to hit a local 70cm repeater that requires tones for access, and successfully make a contact. I’ll explain how to do that and more in Part 2.
