Following my SOTA activation in Utah I was able to get out to the Jordanelle State Park K-3080 and do a POTA to close out Utah.There was about 6 inches of snow on the ground and the wind was blowing enough that it froze my soda sitting on the table. I set up my IC-705 and my homebrew 20m dipole which is resonant on 14.310MHz and started calling. It definitely didn’t take long and I was done within about 20 minutes with 13 contacts. Washington State to Florida with a North/South oriented antenna. I hope the North Dakota activations go as smoothly in a few days.
