Todays topic, the Yaesu FT-891 unboxing. In this video I do an unboxing, go through some of the key features of the Yaesu FT-891, then discuss integration into the solar-powered portable ham radio station.

The Yaesu FT-891 is an excellent mobile or field radio. It has an exwellent receiver, built in filtering, and just a little larger than the Yaesu FT-818. I chose the FT-891 ovwer the FT-857 because of its better screen, superior receiver, and better value. Currently, if you want to put a 100 watt radio out in the field to operate portable, this radio is the most portable, and functional way to achive that.
